Lacrosse training programs must carefully balance the rigors of one of the most strenuous team sports. The sport requires the physical and performance qualities of most other sports combined. It a fast-paced game in which the players need a tremendous amount of speed, power, agility, mobility, and explosiveness. For those reasons, proper speed and agility training are crucial to a successful lacrosse program – for all positions. Training these aspects of the game is what’s going to separate your team from the competition.

As with soccer or rugby, one of the challenges of designing an optimal lacrosse conditioning plan is combining all the required elements of fitness without one negatively affecting the other. Plyometrics for developing explosive power is used in many sports as an effective way to increase speed and power. Lacrosse players can benefit from both upper and lower body plyometric exercises.

Program Overview:

This is currently for Collegeville only…We are excited to provide the most committed and focused lacrosse athletes with a platform that is on the leading edge of player development.  Athletes Arbor has partnered with KLax Training to create semi-private and private sessions by combining a one-of-a-kind, evidence-based training system to make our athletes faster, stronger & more explosive with the Lacrosse specific training to enhance each athletes technical, creative, mental and individual skill-set in order to reach their match play potential.  What sets this program apart from any other in this area is the development of a lacrosse specific platform that seamlessly integrates speed, agility and power aspects of physical development with the technical focus  of lacrosse in a high energy, focused yet fun environment.  Many other programs provide one or the other, but not both.  Our sessions will have a foundation in core-drills developed by Athlete’s Arbor and KLax’s certified staff to enhance each athlete’s technical skill.  We will also have the flexibility to customize aspects of each session to a specific area of need or development identified by the player.
